Welcome to Evolve Dance Inc.
Evolve Dance Inc. is a contemporary dance organization founded in 2006.
Our mission is to pursue understanding, advancement and realization of the human experience through dance.
We are a group of artists working in communities of dance practice, and for dance in community life local to global.
Since our inception in 2006, we have created a comprehensive dance-training program,
traveled to Ghana for international interchange, implemented the provocative 2007 - 2012 Evolve Dance Festivals,
worked with community organizations in NYC and beyond, and so much more!
Evolve Dance's plan for 2012-13 was to take time for creative investigation, scholarly dance research, and development.
However, shortly after the year began, new collaborations and projects immediately began to take shape:
- A unique opportunity to partner with Pacific Links Foundation, an organization that operates shelters for survivors of
human trafficking, with an initial working visit to Hanoi and to The Compassion House, Lao Cai.
- Dance at the Y: the dance education center of Evolve Dance,
housed at the Family YMCA at Tarrytown as part of an ongoing collaboration.
- Development of creative interchange programs for participants of all ages in several communities, local, national and international.
